Dearest Mine-

It is impossible to tell you how your letters are enjoyed but they are anyway and they couldn’t come too often. If it weren’t for them coming once a week I should be very lonesome of course I am lonesome but then when I read your letters I feel better and almost like you were near.

When you think of 12 weeks it seems a long time and almost like you couldn’t wait but then every thing comes to those who wait so we shall.

I am not worrying about you doing your part in the home making but surely do question my ability but am proud that you have such a fine opinion and it also makes me feel good to have other people think well of me.

Now you must be careful with your back for those things don’t come out in the wash and you better see a doctor and not wait until it is too late.

I didn’t mean anything by old friend only a gentleman whom I have known perhaps all my life just happened to call on us to see how we were and ask me to go for a ride. You don’t mind do you?

I think I can guess who the young lady friend was you were going to go with to the leap year ball as I happened to hear about it before it happened, in fact a little bird told me, and I don’t mind it in the least.

I have often imagined how fine it would be to have you coming home for your meals and then to spend the evenings to-gether. It must be great.

We have had every kind of weather to-day, wind, sun, snow, hail, thunder & lightening, don’ you wish you were here.

They are calling me to supper so will say good evening with all the love I know of,

Your loving
Eloise
